If you went on the 2004 trip, you may remember the little awards ceremony that Kent and Vickie Gussiaas held during our post-trip wrap-up.
Kim: bottle of glue (he was the glue that held the group together)
Janis: Ziploc bags (the “mom” of the group, she found uses for Ziplocs previously uknown to mankind)
Tracee: photo frame (having the patience of Job while helping kids staple polaroids into foam frames for hours)
Chelsey: a battery (her portable CD player was our sound system, making her our techie)
Julie: burshes and colored pencils (these brushes meant no more hair sacrifices)
Tom: bottle of water (our group’s waterboy, making certain there were always jugs of water present)
Kent: pen (a marker to sign his Stone Cold Steve Austin look-alike photos with)
Cordell: tape measure (something to measure the smaller projects with back here)
Lance: toy motorcycle (well, if you’re going to wear a flamed bandana…)
John: chesse (goat cheese for Pastor Goat)
Jessica: Off (mosquito spray for those unrestful night attacks)
Mark: tiny lawnchair (rather important for someone who was scoping out beach property…)
Bonnie: two plastic bags (just in case you lose your luggage, these might work as a replacement)
Gaylen: rubber chicken sugar bear candy (for the bear-like guy who always had some candy to give)
Eric: music score paper (if you’re going to compose music, make it more than four chords)
