Puerto Cabezas Status.

Plans are underway for a few NRN members to try to get to Puerto Cabezas along with Pastor Belcer on Monday or Tuesday of next week. They will have to fly in, and only if they can find a small plane and the landing facilities are adequate. It is likely that communications will be difficult.

Several people have asked about donations targeted for Puerto Cabezas relief efforts. Until NRN is able to assess the conditions and needs in that community, they are hesitant to make an appeal. Certainly, if you feel led, you may make a contribution to NRN with a note to direct it towards hurricane relief in Puerto Cabezas.

This is the rainy season in Nicaragua, and the people of Puerto Cabezas most likely no roofs over their heads right now even if there are some walls left standing in their homes. Life is going to be especially difficult for the foreseeable future.
